The Hungarian Kennel Club organizes 5 or 6 International Shows (CACS) and a dozen of National Shows evry every
year. The most important of them being held in the capital of Hungary, Budapest in spring and autumn.
The International Show of Székesfehérvar (held in June) stands as a very popular show, even for foreign people.
The town of Székesfehérvar is situated half way between Budapest and Balaton Lake.
The International Show of Szombathely has been twinned with the one of Oberwart (in Austria) for a short time
(1988). These two towns are 30 kms from each others which brings the opportunity for Collie owners to win a
CACIB in two different countries in two days.

Club Show:
But, the most important show is the one organised by the Club of Breed. As there are two clubs in Hungary,
this show is alternatively organised by one of them the Clubs every other year. Entries every year are between
100 and 150 dogs. It is entered every year by between 100 and 150 dogs. The judges are chosen by the Clubs which
consult their members before they make their final choice. They are often very famous and popular judges, which
explain the high number of entries.
A dog can enter the following classes :
- Puppy Class

- Open Class
- Champion Class
The winner of the Junior Class is awarded with the title of Hungarian Prima Junior (HPJ) and is given a blue

of the same colours as the Hungarian flag. The CACIB winners (a dog and a bitch) are picked among the CAC
winners.
Finally, the winner of the Veteran Class can also compete for the title Best …enter the title of Best of Breed
even though he/she cannot receive the CACIB.

- Besides, dogs/bitches entering the Champion Class can be awarded with the title of Grand Champion provided
they own 3 CAC and 1 BOB.
- This report would not be complete if a show called " the Derby " was not mentionned during which a dog and
a bitch is awarded with the title of Hugarian Derby Winner. One CAC show is chosen to be the show during the
one the Derby will take place. The title is given to the Best Dog and the Best Bitch born the previous year
